IE 5.5 How do you configure it for EXACT highlighting???

Since Microsoft assumes you are a clumsy retard, their products will highlight an entire word, even is you only highlighted certain characters.
You can undo this in MS word by going to Tools --> Options ---> Edit ---> uncheck When selecting....
Does anyone know how to disable this microsmart feature in IE 5.5 ??
It's a pain that I can live without.

After highlighting and pass the cursor through the whole word, hold the mouse and slowly move backwards.

You need to hold down shift while doing the reverse.
