HI
Installed all 19 updates yesterday. After installing the updates IE !! stopped working. When I open the browser I get the message "This page can'r be displayed."
I deleted the update and IE worked. Update
The problem is the update keeps downloading and installing.
What can I do to correct the problem? The update is KB 2987101.
My system is win 7, 64 bit.
I did a system restore and then installed all the updates individually or maybe 2 or 3 at a time. After each update IE 11 worked. Once I installed KB 2987101 IE 11 stopped working. I did a quick search on google and nothing showed.
Help!
UPDATE!
Finally fixed the problem.
Turns out that Norton Antivirus, etc and the updates don't agree with each other! While searching for answers I stumbled across a post that said Norton causes problems with upgrades. Sure enough when I tried to open the Norton software it would not open. I was able to get it open and download the updates,, and fixes from Norton. Now everything works!
Why do I keep Norton??? I am on Comcast for the internet and Comcast supplies Norton "free." What's really odd is both my desktop and laptop run Win 7, 64 bit and the software on each unit is exactly the same with no problems on the laptop. Oh well,,,, Apple Macs and tablets are starting to look better and better here!!! LOLOL
Thanks
