hi,
i have one quite fine running (old) machine built on intel DP965LT board. as ddr2 is cheap and affordable, and while considering the age of the mainboard it's the last train for upgrade. so i'm thinking about filling it with as much memory as it can address (windows always like it) - to 8gb, as the machine now uses 4gb. (please don't try to give me the 'change that mobo' posts as all i want is to squeeze the last bit of upgrade with just memory upgrade (and reinstalling the os to 64bit)).
anyway, my question is: as the board can use 8gb only in 667 mhz sticks (up to 4gb the board can use 800mhz sticks, and that's the configuration now) what have more sense: to keep this configuration of 4gb running on 800mhz, OR upgrade the machine to large amount of 8gb but running on 667mhz? what have more sense?
thanks in advance...
