Idle temps 6600gt

Just wondering what are the normal Idle temps for 6600gt GPUs?

My MSI NX6600GT-TD128E has been idling around 50-54 degrees celsius. Is that normal? I added some generic heatsink paste to improve cooling but it didn't had too much effect. I had a fan blow on the card from one side but it is still running at the same temps but idling at 49-51 degrees. Under load, the card still crosses 87 degrees and that is from runing NFS:MW.

Any suggestions not involving buying a seperate cooling solution/gpu cooler?
 
Hmmm. Read AT's review of the 6600gt card by 11 manufacturers.... They tell of the same heating problem with cards from three brands....
 
50 idle isnt bad its actually decent

reseat the heatsink with AS5

87 is a little on the high side.. average 6600GT's stay between 70~80, mine doesnt go over 65 if i can recall
