Idiotic Question...with pictures

OK. Do I connect all power connectors here? There are 2 molex female connectors and a 4 pin female connector.I have connected the two molexes (moli?) but why is that 4 pin there? Is it just to provide an option to go from 4 pin to 8 pin?

Here's the connector

Edit: I sould have been more specific - my PSU only had the 4 pin connector. I bought the 8 pin converter and connected two Molex ends onto it and plugged the 8 pin into my MB (ABIT IP35E). I guess the quesiton is answered - that 2 molex connectors are what I need to be connected to make it a true 8 pin connection (so that I don't overheat the cables).

I saw the extra 4 pin female and while I could plug all three (2 molex and one 4 pin feeding the 8 pin end) I think that might not be a good idea in terms of power 🙂?

the 2 molex females are for the general 4-pin P4 connectors. The extra femal 4pin is, as you said, for the extra 4 pins as some motherboards have an 8pin connector. So in other words unless you have a 8-pin connector on your mobo you wont need to connect all 3 connectors. And if this is the case you dont even need that adapter.
