Try this (I have not tried it so don't know if it will work):

go to the sharing tab of your external nic. This is that tab where you checked the enable ICS box. Click on settings. Click on the services tab. Check the FTP box. Highlight the FTP Server line and choose edit. Type in the local ip of the machine that is running the FTP server. This is if you have FTP on port 21. If not instead of using the predefined settings, just make a new one.

i've tried using port 20 and 21, port 2120 and 2119 and the drives i am trying to access are not on ntfs :(

this is what i get in my server's log(im using serv-u btw):

[1] Thu 21Jun01 15:20:02 - FTP Server listening on port number 21, IP 192.168.0.2, 127.0.0.1
[5] Thu 21Jun01 15:20:17 - (000002) Connected to 192.168.0.2 (Local address 127.0.0.1)
[5] Thu 21Jun01 15:20:17 - (000002) Closing connection
[5] Thu 21Jun01 15:20:20 - (000003) Connected to 192.168.0.2 (Local address 127.0.0.1)
[5] Thu 21Jun01 15:20:20 - (000003) Closing connection
[5] Thu 21Jun01 15:20:26 - (000004) Connected to 192.168.0.2 (Local address 127.0.0.1)
[5] Thu 21Jun01 15:20:26 - (000004) Closing connection
[5] Thu 21Jun01 15:22:41 - (000005) Connected to 192.168.0.2 (Local address 127.0.0.1)
[5] Thu 21Jun01 15:22:41 - (000005) Closing connection

and this is happening whilst trying to connect to the server from within the network; when someone outside the network connects, he stay logged in but cant list the files :(

In that Serv-U log it looks like you may have to set some IP restrictions in Serv-U. If it closes the connection that fast, I would guess you have an IP restriction against 127.0.0.1 (sounds strange, though)

The other thing you might try it setting your FTP client to PASV mode.

the ftp client has already been set to PASV :(

the weird thing is, someone on the net can connect to the server, but not list the files, while i cant even connect :(
