Idiot Kids Blame GTA for Killing Spree

One could ask the question why did the teens have unsupervised access to shotguns. But no, lets sue someone instead.

It was probably GTA-inspired, but blaming GTA for their actions would be like blaming McDonald's for your obesity; oh wait, that's already happened.
 
At least it's not 100% FUD.

The Entertainment Software Association, which represents the video game industry, pointed to research showing that youth crime has gone down even as video games have proliferated. The games are rated for violence, and ultimately, parents make the decisions about what games they bring into their homes, the association said in a statement.

"Parents are present at and involved in the purchase or rental of games 83 percent of the time, according to a September 2000 Federal Trade Commission report," the association said.

Seriously, people are just stupid. Really, really stupid. Let's all just admit to ourselves that these kids parents just suck as parents and shouldn't have had kids in the first place. But I suppose it's easier to blame a faceless industry, isn't it. You know what, people aren't just stupid, they're cowards. They aren't willing to face the truth.

As you said, it's a liberal media. Parents are not responsible for anything their children do (unless they spank their children). It's all the republican's fault.

Good for them, they need to shift the responsibility to where it really lies... in the hands of the entertainers. Everybody knows that that crazy german music is what made Hitler so violent.

The teenage shooters, who each pleaded guilty to reckless homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, will be held at a state juvenile detention center until they turn 19. The law in Tennessee allows them to remain in the custody of the state Department of Children's Services until they are 19, but no longer.

Does this mean that they are free once they turn 19? Or are they going to be transferred to a facility for adults at that time?

I don't care if they're kids or not, they should spend the rest of their lives in jail.

if it were a liberal media, they'd be blaming guns, not the games you twit. immoral games are um fodder for both sides.. and blaming guns/access would have the nra angry in a jiffy,.
 
I've played every GTA (and own Vice City and GTA3 for PS2) and have yet to go on a killing spree. Maybe I'm not a fvcked up kid after all!
