Witnesses Say Woman Rolled 175 Feet
LOCKLAND, Ohio -- Traffic on a local interstate was backed up for several miles Wednesday afternoon after a woman fell from a moving car.
The woman, who is 21, tumbled onto northbound Interstate 75 in Lockland, according to WLWT Eyewitness News 5.
The name of the woman was not released.
The highway remained open while police were on the scene, but traffic continued to move slowly through the area for several hours.
According to witnesses, the woman was in the passenger seat when the door opened and she fell out into the high-speed lane of the interstate.
"I saw, basically, that the door opened, and she started rolling and everybody was cutting and weaving and trying to keep from hitting her," Aaron Robinson said.
The woman rolled about 175 feet along the road and was almost hit by several cars, witnesses said. She was conscious and talking to paramedics before she was taken to University Hospital, WLWT reported.
The woman's boyfriend was driving the car. He reportedly told witnesses that the couple was arguing and she threatened to jump out of the moving car.
The woman's boyfriend also told witnesses that she had threatened to jump out of the car in the past, WLWT reported.
