Because hardware in laptops are more compressed together 
He cites that he has a desktop and a laptop that run around 2.4 ghz with the same amout of memory and everything..and that his desktop is quite a bit faster because his laptop is smaller therefore can't perform as quickly.
I mean come on, laptops are clearly faster because they're smaller and everything has to travel a shorter distance. Right? Of course, that's what I was saying
