I was currently running my Epox 8kta3 w/ Duron 650 at 9x100 for a 900mhz speed. The temperature according to MB monitor was around 38-41 depending on whether it was nighttime (cooler) or daytime (warmer).
I recently decided to try and up the FSB. I had not bothered thinking that a crash would surely result from the low-end RAM I was using. Yet, I reconfigured it to 7x133 and the damn thing is stable! Not only that, the temperature has dropped about 5oC to about 35 (considering the 40 degree average from the previous temperature range). Is this because of the lower multiplier? Also not that I upped the voltage to 1.85 from 1.75v.
