An Israeli soldier has killed a five-year-old Palestinian boy and wounded his two sisters after opening fire on a Palestinian car at a checkpoint in the West Bank.
An Israeli army spokesman quoted by Reuters said a soldier had fired at the car "due to an operational mistake" at the checkpoint in the northern West Bank village of Barta - just southwest of Jenin.

He said an inquiry had been opened.

The boy - named as Mahmoud Qabha - died immediately from a gunshot wound, one sister was shot in the hand and his other sister was also wounded, witnesses said.

Yerucham Mandola, a spokesman for Israel's Magen David Adom rescue service, told Associated Press that another child had also been injured.

I saw this story this morning, about 6-7 hours ago and have been going to foxnews and cnn regularly since then, why havent they picked this up?

No one cares. We have our own war going on right now, so we couldn't give a sh!t about some Israeli conscript with an itchy trigger finger at a checkpoint. Hell, CNN and foxnews have stopped really mentioning our own troop deaths in Iraq- 3 dead today, and here's more on Kobe. Kids have been dying for years in that part of the woods, and we've just stopped caring.

I haven't.

Let me restate that. Most people have stopped caring enough to force CNN to focus on other stories to get ratings.

Nobody cares? How about US financial advisors? They give money to the Israeli's. If they don't care, then forget about it totally.
Also, there was this thing called a roadmap for peace in that area, or has everyone stopped caring about that? It's a catalyst for aggro in the area, and does need to be sorted, not forgotten.

The fact that we have been giving Israelis billions while they have been killing thousands of civilians (in order to get militants, of course) for years is proof positive that our financial advisors are bitches to pro-Israel lobby groups, just like everyone else involved in US gov. policy, anc could care less about any suffering on the Palestinian side.

My patened response... Fusken Savages!

Repost? Not really, it's just that it keeps happening over and over again, and no one seems to really care.

And that's the whole point of the post. Remindes me of a Simpsons episode when Groundskeeper Wills says: "Willy hear ya, Willy don't care." That's America's attitude when it comes to matters concerning Israel.

If it was concerning something being done TO ISrael they might care, but its the Israeli's doing something to others, so they don't really give a damn.
