ideq 210V and SATA

Hi there, I hope someone out there can help me.

I just bought a new 250GB SATA drive to put in my Ideq 210V which already has a 120GB HDD and a DVDRW drive connected to the ATA channels. I CANNOT get the SATA drive to show up in my drives list. The only way it shows up is in the RAID info with the little VIA RAID tool they supply, and since i only have one drive I cannot do anything with it. I am totalyl new to both RAID and SATA and was wondering if anyone knows how to make it just show up as a drive?

so have you installed the drivers for the SATA controller?

If so, go into the adminstrative tools, computer managment, storage, disk managment and then format the drive from there. Then you can see it as a system drive.
