Looks like somehow my dads checking account number got stolen from paypal and they've run up a $500 tab over what we have in our account. What in the world do we have to do to get it

1. Stopped
2. Find out who did it
3. Get our money back

Our bank gave us the phone number of the bank that handles all paypal transactions and such and told us to call them, so we did. They claim that we dont have a account and refuse to help us. I have the transaction numbers for all the fradulent transactions, but who do I call? ANY and ALL help is appreciated. Please keep this at the top!

Thanks in advance!
Chris

***UPDATED***

For some reason paypal was taking it out of a different account then mine! NOW what do I do?!

first things first...call the cops. report what happened. then call any credit agency that might be involved and red flag your dads credit. happened to my gf, hope things work out for you and your father. CALL THE AUTHORITIES ASAP don't let it wait...the longer you wait the worse it can get and the more fuzzy ur memory will get.
