Medium.com pulled the story down almost immediately, but it can still be seen, and I believe the code to do this is available at github.

Remember that these are public profiles, nothing was hacked or stolen. https://twitter.com/jessebenn/status/1009169660082733056

I think this is a good start, obviously there are a lot more than 1,500 people working for ICE. But by exhaustively interrogating those 1,500, and then cross checking, you can probably construct a pretty clear picture of who worked for the organization and when.

When you enable and by extension support such inhumane policies, you deserve to be shamed. Its those that stand by and say, "I only did it because I needed the job" that bring us closer to the path of fascism.

When you say its a good start...good start to what exactly?

How does putting the lives and families of ICE agents at risk seem like a good idea to you?

Not to mention how much of the list aren't agents. There's IT staff, project managers, etc on that list. Then you've got people like that twitter nut job saying they deserve to live in constant fear and ridicule. Fuck that guy.

Yeah whoever did this is just an asshole. These CBP staff are the ones who are leaking the things out. Bunch of ignorant net jockeys harassing them won’t help any of this considering it’s unlikely most of any of them are even involved with the facilities.

While ICE is increasingly despicable, I don't think naming and shaming agents like that (especially not when it's so indiscriminate) is the way to do it. Many of those people aren't going to be directly involved, and may even have private objections to the practices people don't like.

The whole point is to prove that you're better, not just to hit back.

These people don't make policy, many don't enforce it but now they are targets because we need revenge.

I'm sorry but there is a huge difference between shaming people and threatening physical harm. I'm not aware of anyone one who is against this atrocity who supports violence of any kind. I think you are confusing them with right wingers.
