Identifying an OEM motherboard

I'm trying to find some info on my motherboard, and it's proving to be more difficult than I thought. It's a FX6800 motherboard, that is going in a new case, as the old one was destroyed in a fire. I've contacted Gateway, and they are pretty much useless, and I am not the original purchaser, so I don't know if they will deal with me beyond the basic tech chat, besides I have changed the gpu, HDD, and removed just about everything except the mobo, cpu, ram, so it's pretty far outside of warranty even if they would.

I'd like to know who made the motherboard, but aside from Foxxcon being on one of the rear panel output shells, there's no other indication, at least obvious. CPU-Z says the manufacterer is Gateway, but I'm pretty sure that's just because the BIOS says that. The main reasons I would like to know are, I need to find which header pins are for reset, power LED, and HDD LED I got the power, but there's no reset on the FX6800, and my new case has one, and since I have found cause to use it on more than one occasion, I'd like it.

The other reason is that this i7, and the ram I added has a lot of potential, and the Gateway motherboard is completely vacant of OCing options. I am looking into flashing the BIOS to something a little more friendly, something I can at least control voltages with, since some ram uses higher voltage like OCZ.

Anyway, if anyone knows who makes the mobos for these guys, and can point me towards some documentation, or is familiar with flashing to different BIOS, chime in, I'd love to hear from you.

It appears to be a custom OEM board made by Foxconn that has no retail or channel equivalent (not because Foxconn made one of the rear panel parts, but because I found some other info that seems to suggest its made by Foxconn). The same board is used by Acer, Packard Bell, and Dell.

In short, if you don't know how to custom modify the BIOS, or don't know someone who can do this, you're SOL.

It is a Foxconn. I removed the motherboard today to swap cases, and there it is, printed clear as day...Foxconn.

Foxconn is a major manufacturer of plastic parts such as chip and RAM sockets, and hundreds of connectors. In fact, this is where Foxconn got its start. Just about any motherboard today is going to have a Foxconn logo or name stamped into some component or part. Were you referring to printing on the circuit board?

Yes, their name is printed on the back of the board, as well as on the bottom of the heatsink. I also used their manual to get the pinouts for the front panel header and it all matched up, though I would guess that maybe fairly standardized.

well the fx6800 has a microatx board, and foxconn doesnt have any retail units like that.

I know dell uses foxconn also and you could actually flash the bios on some of those (of course you will lose your ability to keep your OS activated if you did that because of the bios imprint).

But since foxconn doesnt have a retail equivalent of it you probably are out of luck.
