It was catchy the first 20 times. Now it's just freaking annoying. The singer's voice is very "fake" as in it sounds too echo-y/effects ladden.

Marketing genius.

They had to find something they could play over and over again. Something catchy yet something that doesn't get too old too quick.

Here's the test. How many of you think you know the words to the entire song? Does anyone here even know the verse after "tell me that you love me more..." without looking it up? I'll bet very very few actually know, which means you can easily listen to the song over and over again and try and get those words. Its like a game that you play with yourself without even knowing that you are playing it, which keeps apple in your mind.

Marketing genius.

THANK YOU! My god did this song get on my nerves quickly, not to mention the commercial itself is kinda stupid to begin with.

On the small screen (even on my big HDTV) she looked like Jennifer Love Hewitt.

I was sorely mistaken.

Well, there's no arguing with opinion, but it is not effects-laden - that's the way she sings. Feist has a fairly unique voice.

The songs are only part of it. When they are presented with these visually appealing images it elevates the song. I remember the commercial with Flathead from The Fratellis and all the sillouettes dancing wildly with that white cord dangling around and how great the song sounded. But had I heard that song on it's own I doubt it would have generated the same reaction. It's like hearing a song at a Rave or a Club.......you would dance your ass frantically off to stuff you might otherwise switch the radio station to avoid.

it's a game I cannot force myself to play because the first time hearing the song made it one time too many. The song is horrible, she's annoying, and so is the video itself.
give me Kylie Minogue, then I'd say I could keep listening to the song. her songs were catchy, and the videos provided me with footage of her to look at. :D
