They had to find something they could play over and over again. Something catchy yet something that doesn't get too old too quick.
Here's the test. How many of you think you know the words to the entire song? Does anyone here even know the verse after "tell me that you love me more..." without looking it up? I'll bet very very few actually know, which means you can easily listen to the song over and over again and try and get those words. Its like a game that you play with yourself without even knowing that you are playing it, which keeps apple in your mind.
