Ive got a mobo here I can't identify. The only markings on it are the chipset chip that says ATA 100 on it, and the BIOS chip says Phoenix BIOS.

The board has 5 PCI slots approx. and one AGP slot. its a socket 478 board. and contains a pentium 1.7 gig proc right now.

TIA

Thats pretty standard. LOL "5 PCI slots approx.".....does that mean it might have 4 or 6? What color is the PCB, that might be able to give away what brand it is. It prolly is an Intel or ECS or some cheap MB.

yea, gonna need some pics of that to help identify it, there are usually fcc numbers on the board somewhere, that may also help to identify it, are there any numbers that say fcc before them? i know you said there were no markings, but there has to be something in fine print or something like that somewhere....

i run aida 32 and more often than not on boards with little or no identifying marks, aida 32 reports it as "unknown motherboard"

Put the bios header or revision into google. Hit the pause key on your keyboard when you see it during the post to give yourself more time to write it down.
