and copy paste the following text
request to a new bios update of the epox 8kta3 & 8kta3+
with these changes
- Disable RAID
- more settings for VCore 1.10v to 1.85v
- Negative adjustments for VAgp and VIo (to compensate if the actual voltage
is a bit higher)
- Jumperless KBPower on
-changing fsb 100mhz to 133mhz without the need for a jumper like it can be done
with bios 8kt30c12
- more memory timing adjustments through bios , exemple : 2/2/2 , Dram read latch delay , memory drive
strenght , etc
-reg 52 changed so the cpus can reach the lowest temp at idle
- Software BIOS flashing from Windows.
- Assign A: to IDE zip drive or CDROM if wanted (I hate floppy drives)...
-changing the memory adress drive strenght from 16ua to 24ua when using more than 2 dimms
(wpcredit 6D with setting 3b changing it to 5f)
it will make all the diference in the world in terms of stability (and
overclockability)
when using 2 dimms or more (TO ME THIS IS THE MOSt IMPORTANT SETTING)
I suggest Epox follow our request to make a better bios for the 8kta3 series
so you get happy customers that recomend the motherboard for a very good support on the part
of epox and then their next DDR motherboard for Athlon and so on be an Epox motherboard
