layer the bottom of the kiddy pool with black paint and angle a bunch of mirrors around your yard to direct more sunlight to the pool.

Pour some gasoline into the pool - it will float on the surface of the water. Light.

The kids will be so toasty warm they won't care how cold the water is anymore.

Would a thin layer of oil over the water and a match, work?

How about, filling it up and covering it with something black?

Paint the outside of the pool a dark color. Preferably black.

Put some big Rocks on the grill and when they're hot dump them in... careful you don't melt through the bottom.

Just boil some water, and pour it into the pool until the temperature is where you want it. If you get it too hot, just add some cold water from the hose.

And, uh, make sure you do this when the kids are not in it...

big old magnifying glass...seriously though, get one of those cooler warmers from a bait and tackle shop. They place them in livewells to circulate the water as well as keep it at a certain temperature

Well, THAT certainly takes all the fun out of it...
