I need to cut open two of the bridges on a Duron chip. Any ideas on a good way to do this?

I can not use the pencil trick because the BIO has no options for adjusting anything on the processor. The only way I can change the settings are with the bridges on the chip.

use a very sharp cutter and a spyglass .. be very careful not to cut too deep and use a marker w/ a conductive ink to connect the bridges you want

it worked for me;)

How deep do I cut? Are the traces just on top of the surface of the chip or does the trace go down into the chip surface? Is the trace about the thickness of a piece of paper? If you could give me some idea. Thanks

I used an electric engraver to cut traces on a duron 750, then connected the right bridges for 950 for a friend of mine. He has an Epox 8KTA(1st version) mb, which has no multiplier adjustments. Also, if you have $50, you can get 1 of those Japanese "golden sockets" over at plycon.
