Ideas of things to discuss with near stranger.

I'm 26, and relatively shy. I can never come up with things to talk about with people I barely know. Tomorrow I have to drive alone for ~5 hours with an elderly woman (60s maybe lower 70s). We don't know each other very well - but I know she is shy and quiet as well. So I'm imagining 5 hours of silence will likely happen and that will be akward. So can you come up with any decent discussions? Yes I'm that bad at social interactions that I need to ask an online forum...

Ask her about herself, where she grew up, how many kids does she have, any grand children, ask to see photos of them
Tell her about yourself, what your goals in life are, where you are headed
Talk to her about travelling, I am sure she has been to a whole lot of places
Ask her about her school/college days, old people just love to discuss those things.
Disuss about events during her time
