Im trying to think of ideas to start my own business, because right now Im getting screwed over money-wise at my job, and I think the same thing would happen if i went elsewhere. The business would have to be run out of my home, either at home or from a truck or van... the only things along these lines I can think of are selling stuff on ebay, or doing pool service. (im in So Cal btw)

Does anyone have any SERIOUS ideas? Im looking for something that would stand a fair chance on the market, theres already a bizillion gardeners out there, and theres no market for computer service/programming/*.*

I only make 7 an hour as it is so anything that works would be an improvement

I'd suggest selling illegal drugs... its a niche market but if you can get a foothold without being arrested I hear its good money... you can do it from your car or home

try to get into wholesales and buy in BULK and sell the items on ebay

ive bought stuff from a particular guy, he always has hundreds of items for sale at once and in the description it says the items are mostly returns or overstocked items and he buys them at a huge discount and sells on ebay.

I believe his user ID is 1stwind

If you already have the car, you could be a high-end crack whore. You would have to play close attention to your finances so that you don't sell your car for a fix and become just a regular crack whore with no way of differentiating yourself from the market...

I'm a self-employed software developer/analyst/architect/whateverthehellyouwanttolabelme, and I have far more work available than I could ever complete. I work from home, Borders, the coffee shop, the local park, or whenever else I can get wifi. I live in Tulsa, OK as well, so I believe it's fair to say you've underestimated the market in that regard.

Of course a lot of the work is for experienced people -- like I mentioned in my monster/dice thread we'll be adding a position at work soon but we're a small company and can't afford to train a senior or recent grad or even wait for them to learn on their own.

you can become a musician and sell cds from the trunk of your car and give performances in your basement.
