Im a high school student and I dont have any ideas for my upcoming science fair project. I wanted to test different rat poisons on hamsters and see which one works best but my teacher doesnt like the sound of that. Please post some ideas of posible science fair projects involving mice or hamsters. :cookie::beer:

well, if you want to do something with computers, I did a project about OCing twice in a row (11th and 12th grades) and both times I received 2nd place. Why?

KNOW HOW TO PRESENT. Everything else falls in place.

"Which method of freebasing cocaine provides the best high?"
"Wasting squirrels with BB guns"
"How many cigarettes can I smoke at once without passing out?"
"Where's the best place to leave a fertilizer bomb for maximum damage?"

...oh wait, involving mice or hamsters...
"Felching techniques"
"Which oil is best for frying hamsters?" mmm...fine Ecuadorian cuisine...
"Mouse with a knife versus grizzly: who wins?"

That is quite possibly the dumbest science fair idea ever. You can show that adrenaline is vital for memory during stressful situation. Place a rat in a tub of water with a platform somewhere in the tank thats slightly submerged. Time it. Then yank it out and have it sit forawhile then put it back in and time it again. Then for another rate, inject it with an adrenaline blocker, time its first run then wait again and time its second run.

Here my roomate also did some science fairs heres one of his. He suspended a special polymer in aqueous solution that was able to block UV rays. Theres someone else at my school that found a vaccine for a virus.

I think the title was:

"What is the effect of overclocking a PC's Central Processing Unit on overall system performance?"

OC your computer, spit out some bs data like multipliers and sh!t, and your good to go:thumbsup:

You could do something to test various ways to keep bread preserved, but still edible.

Of course, thats boring, but it works.

You unoriginal bastard.

Do a project on how candy sticks to your teeth, and have diagrams of the different ammounts. Like bite a butterfinger, then scrape the stuff out, then bite a snickers, etc... untill you've got a poster board full of examples. Grade A!!

Experiments with strong acids and bases are always fun. Get a bottle, a balloon, HCL or NaOH, aluminum chips. Use the balloons to measure the amount of gas liberated from a reaction of NaOH or HCL and aluminum.
