What's with the pod obsession? Why not just get three barns and divide the third between the two for 2 kitchens/baths and a common laundry? Wouldn't that be cheaper and bigger?
Really, only because its designed to link with other structures, is cheap, is pre-fabricated, and, well, I'm no general contractor.

Check the community's zoning ordinance and zoning map. Is this property zoned for multi unit residential? If not, this would be a non-conforming use. If it is non-conforming, the building would require a variance.

Even if you are in an area zoned for multifamily, a shared common areas would likely require a variance.

this is awesome and I've been wanting to build something like this for a while, except without the stairs. Just a bunch of trailers linked together via hallways.
