Ideal video card for an old Athlon XP 2100+ with 768mb PC133 ram

I'm running an ancient computer and was wondering what the ideal DX9 video card would be where my cpu/chipset/ram isn't such a glaring bottleneck.

AMD Athlon XP 1600+ (Palomino core o/ced to 2100+)
MSI K7T Turbo2 (Via KT133A chipset with 4xAGP...ancient, I know)
3 sticks of Crucial 256mb cas2 PC133 (yep, still running PC133 SDRAM)
ATI Radeon 8500 64mb AGP (awesome with DX8 gen games, non performer for DX9 games)

I'm not a huge 1st person shooter gamer, the latest "intense" 3D taxing game I was playing was World of Warcraft. What's a good card price/performance wise for my obsolete platform?

Geez. That's too harsh, man. :(
I have a similar spec with yours, and I have used Ti4200 and 9800 Pro. This 9800 Pro just died upon me though, what a crappy fan!!!
I guess if your powersupply is good enough, you can put any video card on it. Any thoughts?

a 9800p, or a 6600 if you plan to overcklock it. both go for a like $110-120 new, and probably < $100 in fs/ft section.

interesting thread for me. i got one of the "6600GT for $118" deal at buy.com to replace my 9800 Pro. because the 6600GT is way faster in WoW and BF2, the 2 games I am playing now.

my son's PC is a Athlon XP 2000+ with PC133 ram, ATI 9600 Pro for vidcard. I am wondering if I should give him my 9800 Pro or sell it.

Is the 9800 Pro is too much vidcard for the Athlon XP 2000+

9800 or 6600. 8500's are the shiz for DX8. I gave mine to my dad for his birthday (replaced heavily modified 7500). He's happy.
