Hi.

I want to get my parents a gift. They are not into tech at all, so what would be the ideal solution for the foray into this world?

Option 1:

ASUS T100: for 350$, 10 incher with included keyboard and full Windows if there is a need to be used, this is at the top of my list.

Option 2:

iPad mini 2012: Not the new one because where I live it will be very expensive. I like it because of its size as well as utter simplicity.

Option 3:

Nexus 7 (2013): if i was getting a tablet for personal use, this would be it, if nothing else than for its sheer speciness (but then I own a 13.3 inch laptop and having a 10 inch tablet would be sort of redundant, a 7 incher is much easier as a reader). Having never used Android (or iOS for that matter) though, I cant really be sure but I think its too complex. Also, for parents use I believe that the size is too small.

Option 4:

Dell Venue 8 or Lenevo Miix : price is good, size is OK, especially for portrait. But I can't help but think that 10 inches is the way to go, especially since it include a keyboard

Your suggestions and recommendations would be welcome!

My mom has a Nexus7 and basically hates technology. After a few weeks of asking questions from me and my dad, she has mostly gotten the hang of it. She can make skype calls, play games, use internet, email, no issues. Her only problem, she wishes it were bigger.
