I find it a little odd that we have a ample selection of new 13.3" laptops that STILL have a 1366x768 display. I mean come on. My laptop from 2010 has this res! And then on some laptops the same size they offer 4K displays. Really! On a 13.3" screen? Is that necessary?
In terms of laptop size, a 12.5" - 13.3" screen is ideal for me. What do you all think is an ideal res for this size? 1920x1080?
Also: of the laptops out there, which do you all think are best suited to being *downgraded* to Windows 7? I simply refuse to live with Windows 8.1. The idea would be to buy, format, and install 7.
I am still looking for a laptop with the following specs...
12.5-13.3" screen
IPS screen
Res? See above.
Intel Core i7 Haswell
Minimum 8GB RAM (with ability to upgrade / add RAM)
256GB SSD (with ability to upgrade / swap SSD)
Intel Wireless AC
Backlit keyboard
Preferably newer graphics: Intel HD 5000 / Iris or better
Would nVidia/AMD graphics add much if not a gamer?
8-10 hour battery life preferred
Weight: 2.5-3.5 lbs.
Downgrade-able to Windows 7
The Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga may tick most of my boxes?
