What kind of cop cars do you see? Around here they drive Crown Vic's with the Big-boy V8s, as do the majority of the police officers in the country. Some drive Impala's with the 3.8L V6, which isn't an engine to be toyed with.

hahaha oh no! NOT THE IMPALA V6!

M1A2 Abrams. Sure, you wouldn't blend in for crap, but NOBODY could touch you. Get some buddies to be the loader and gunner to keep the cops off you till you get to a big warehouse. Then pull that crap they did in 2 Fast 2 Furious (not really a spectacular movie, but the warehouse trick had merit) except use common cars instead of ricers, and they'd never find you after that.

I hate to break it to you but that nice silver one is actually a 68. You can tell by the air scoops behind the windows. A 67 would have three very sall scoops but the 68 has the one big one on each side. Some one from that movie made a boo-boo.

According to Mustang Monthly 12 cars were made including the prototype that wasn't in the movie. They were all '67's and none were shelbys. Only 7 cars survived. During the bridge jump alone 2 cars were destroyed and one seriously damaged. Two more cars were destroyed in the end with the junkyard crusher/claw scene. Believe it or not, the car the was in the best
shape was the "shelby" Kip gave to Memphis at the end. It had a 351 crate motor, versailles rear, rack and pinion steering. Bruckheimer's stang is an actually '67 GT500. It's the only car that has the fully functional side exhaust and C-pillar fuel filler. It's got rack and pinion steering and a total control engine brace. Its got an original 428 dual quad motor too.
And I highly recommend getting the DVD-besides the excellent quality it has all the behind the scenes stuff.

I have the DVD thanks. And I could not care less what Bruckheimer said. I have been a major fan of the Shelby GT500 since before I could drive and the 67 does not have the single air scoop behing the windows on the side. It has three flush air scoops that were actually functional which the single on the 68 was not.

EDIT: and if bruckheimers was a true GT500 it would not have the 428 in it. It would have the shelby special edition 500 in it. One more thing, you cannot put NOS and a blower on an engine any size. At the very least you will fry the piston rings, crack or break the drive shaft and probobaly blow off the intake manifold.

Umm... you are an idiot. First of all, it is not "NOS" it is Nitrous. Secondly, you CAN put nitrous and a supercharger on an engine.

What do you think nos is? And sure you can if you really wanna fvck up your engine. You already increased the compression ratio in your engine hugely. The idea behind a blower is just to pack more air and fuel into your cylinder's so you get a stronger explosion when the fuel is iginited. So, when you ad nitrous oxide(nos) to the engine you further increase compresion and then then it increases the tempurature and velocity of the explosion. Do you know how engines work?
Ignore this guy, he is the same person who thinks a teflon-coated bullet makes it armor-piercing, and also believes that ammo companies screw up and give you a few teflon-coated bullets on accident whenever you buy a box of rifle ammo.

How about a Ford GT?

Also, as a poster suggested, helicopters would be a problem (if you live in an urban area which has a police helicopter).

helicopters won't be a problem, just drive really fast under bridges and then use the NOS when your car is ready for it. then you can out run helicopters.

1) any hummer, or even a landrover... just get off the highway anywhere...

2) most sporty cars will actually pull away from the cops easy... they had this guy on the show "Cops" who got away on the highway in a stolen M3 but for the car overheating 5 min later

It was actually America's Most Wanted, and it was later proven on a website that the car never overheated (it was the same scene from before, they even played both parts on top of each other and they were a perfect match), and most likely the car got away.

Umm... Bullsh!t.

As much as I love the z32, it def. was a very heavy car and was dogass slow. I would rather be in my 240sx then the z. BTW, the tt 300zx best 0-60 time is around 5.8-6.2 sec. So STFU noob

Hey numbnuts, been to the race track lately?

You CAN have a supercharged motor with nitrous , but it has to be a quality motor.. No, you can't do it to a stock 3.3L buick, but the chances are if you have the money for a super charger and a nitrous kit, you have the money for a custom block.

The Story of The Escape

I couldn't find the local TV news story, but I saw a TV special about groups of motorcycle racers gathering near Texas Motor Speedway on I35. THey'd just screw around, doing tricks and stunts until the police showed up, then the chase starts. Even after several weeks of attempted busts, the motorcyclists weren't caught. I remember the ft worth police sgt in charge saying "They know we can't catch them. We don't even have a chance. We aren't allowed to use roadblocks or spikes on motorcyclists, and they even outrun our helicopter." It said that the highest speed they'd caught was nearly 180mph.

ANyways, a motorcycle would be the perfect vehicle to run in. You can leave the cops behind on an open highway, or, if there's heavy traffic, you can still leave them behind, just by going between cars.

These aren't stock but it's a load of fun to watch. They get away every time. They even wait for the cops to catch up before they speed away!
