1967 Shelby from Gone in Sixty Seconds?
I hate to break it to you but that nice silver one is actually a 68. You can tell by the air scoops behind the windows. A 67 would have three very sall scoops but the 68 has the one big one on each side. Some one from that movie made a boo-boo.
According to Mustang Monthly 12 cars were made including the prototype that wasn't in the movie. They were all '67's and none were shelbys. Only 7 cars survived. During the bridge jump alone 2 cars were destroyed and one seriously damaged. Two more cars were destroyed in the end with the junkyard crusher/claw scene. Believe it or not, the car the was in the best
shape was the "shelby" Kip gave to Memphis at the end. It had a 351 crate motor, versailles rear, rack and pinion steering. Bruckheimer's stang is an actually '67 GT500. It's the only car that has the fully functional side exhaust and C-pillar fuel filler. It's got rack and pinion steering and a total control engine brace. Its got an original 428 dual quad motor too.
And I highly recommend getting the DVD-besides the excellent quality it has all the behind the scenes stuff.
