NO IBM harddrives...had 3 die on me (1 75gxp, 2 60gxp)
No Abit boards either....had a couple die on me (BH6, BF6, BE6)...its been a long time since those boards came out but I can't trust Abit anymore.

1) MSI, Gigabyte, DFI, Chaintech, ASUS - had good experience with all equally
2) Quantum fireball AS in machine now...but recently had very good experience with Seagates
3) anything with good sound quality
4) whatever is cheaper and faster
