That's why I usually don't help people with programming problems any more, I'll give a hint or a start to the approach, then some idiot will post a complete solution to show how S-M-R-T they are, ruining the student's chance to learn the problem solving process and to prepare themselves for future problems (and the class final).

To make this effective, some basic rules have to be followed.

1. Target college students as they are the most lazy and richest.
2. Do not allow any of your employees to be students also. If they get caught, they might be expelled. But if an adult got caught, nothing would happen. There is no law against giving someone a report or essay.
3. You have to set up some sort of secure server to hand over the answers. You also have to set up some sort of secure payment option that is not easily tracked.

There are a LOT of lazy people out there willing to purchase term papers on the internet.
There are a LOT of students who pop into chat sites for "help" when they mean "do my homework for me"

The logical thought that followed was: sell homework help on ebay! Do it as a "buy it now" type of auction. "math homework completed, starting bid $5.99, buy it now $5.99" And, I'd do one night's worth of math homework :D

All they'd have to do is scan the homework, send it to me via email, I'd do the problems, scan it, send it back.

I'll send you my math hmework for $5.99. You'll be working for about 60 cents an hour ;)

Why jump through all the hoops? Just offer to sell your students an A for $5.99. What's the difference?

I don't want to sell the answers to *my* students. Just to students someplace else. (besides, it would give my students a leg up on the competition. :) )

btw, rather frequently I *DO* give my students the answers to the problems. Knowing the answer while they're working on the problems helps them realize immediately if they're doing the problems correctly (calculus students). Before tests, I give the lower level students an extra set of problems that they can work on to prepare for their test. (rather than tell them to just study for the test, I give them more practice problems) I advise them to check to see if they got the right answers, and if not, to look for where they made their mistakes.

Did you ever notice that the answers to the odd problems are in 95% of all high school math books??!

edit: and I said I'd have to target the parents of kids who are having trouble... I realize the kids don't have the paypal accounts.

I have a much better idea for you: Write a book about your idea.

Start out by saying "I have an idea to make money - " explain the idea, and why you need money. Then tell people about your idea, write down their responses, and discuss the responses
example: I already give my students the answers; only college-bound students are this immoral; teachers should be more moral; the ethics of schools are really bad so why pretend?; it'll take longer than a few minutes to do MY math homework; etc.

Then, actually do it, and write your experiences.

Bingo, an interesting book. Plus, your defense should you get into any trouble is that you're doing research for your book.
