This isn't terribly original, but I see people talking about UT games alot. I am not a big UT fan, but happen to love starcraft and a couple of other Stategy games.

We could play 8 player games and the winner would get an agreed number of Work Units for their favorite project. This could even be done with teams. Wouldnt' that be interesting to see The Federation and TWTA play for Blocks. I mean they all go to TA right.

You can even use FSGS to make it easier for everybody to connect.

I am really pumped for this. So Who's on for tomorow night?

Just thought of an added benefit. Starcraft doesn't require nearly as nice of a computer to run well. So you will take less of a keyrate hit if you play starcraft instead. Keep that nice PIII or Athalon cracking while you use that p200 to play SC.


We don't have to play for work units I just thought it might add something to to the races and game.
 
But, I stink at Starcraft. Wait, I stink at almost all computer games. In UT, I am the original Frag-magnet.

How about Homeworld? It's a beautiful game, but, wait, I stink at that, too. 🙁

how about a nice game of Hearts?

I am expecting DSL and a new MX vid card soon, so maybe I'll get back into it.
 
I love Starcraft, but I'm not very good at it especially at those crazy 'fastest' settings!:Q ,I'll play but I won't give over WU's/blocks

If it is just the two of us we could be a team against say 3 or four computers. I also have a friend whos also a seti guy for TA, but doesn't post much. I am sure he'll play too. We usually are a team and play against multiple computers. Lots of Fun. Do you have Brood Wars. Your in the UK right. What time works for you?

Ok, so how should we do this. What is the best way to get everybody connected at once? Any ideas. I can start at 7:00pm central time or 0:00 UTC.
 
Ok, anybody interested PM me. I'll figure out how to set up a game then. Starcraft. I guess we'll just meet in a Anandtech channel on blizzard. I'll check back in 2 hours to check. thats 9:00 central time, or 02:00 UTC.
 
How about an AOE 2 Deathmatch? I'm not very good at it (Muahahaha I will kill U 😀 :|).

How much blocks do I have to give if I loose? I know there are lots of better players out there. Thats why I only play death match... 🙂
 
heh, if we had more people interested in Q3 i'd say we should play a game of Clasic CTF or Rocket Arena 3 for a day's worth of blocks between the Feds and TWTA. But seeing as more people like UT, maybe we should do a UT CTF or team deathmatch instead. Are the Feds interested?
 
I have Counter Strike and am tired of playing the bots. If anyone is interested, I have cable so my ping time would be adequate.

Yeah I have Brood wars ,time to play is a problem though ,after checking out & posting at this forum I usually eat then go out.
It'll have to be a spur of the moment thing ,yes I am in the UK best time would normally be between 6-7pm or 8-9pm.
BTW can we have the game at no faster than 'fast' please? ,anymore & it just does my head in!
 
hey...no one contacted me...i'm up for some rousing starcraft or brood wars...what time are we kicking it up? ICQ me...i'm on all the time, just tell me who you are so i don't block you....
