Idea for MCE

I want to know if it would be possible to install OEM Windows MCE (and will it run ok on a dfi nforce4?) and attatch a monitor and an hdtv each with its own set of keyboard and mouse (and remote for hdtv), and then be able to carry out normal operation on the computer monitor while another person accesses videos and music from the MCE interface on the hdtv. The computer has no tuner, I just want to be able to access media content on the hdtv from the computer.

You can multimonitor it, but there can only be one mouse driver, so things will go wacky on the TV display when someone is working on the regular monitor. Easiest way to replicate what you want to do would be to buy an extender, XBox + extender kit, or an XBox 360 to hook up to the TV.

That works out great because I happed to own an Xbox, but I wonder if there might be some software to allow two seperate desktops on one computer. Thanks for the tip!

The issue isn't whether you can use 2 desktops, Linux can do that, the issue is can you use more than one kbd/mouse. Which you cannot.
