I've had an idea for a while that I want to try. I want to find an old cheap, maybe ever broken laptop, take apart the case a bit and mount it on the wall with a slideshow viewer program running on it.
I have been hoping that a broken laptop would come my way magically but somehow that hasn't happened.
Any comments on the idea, how to implement it, what laptops might be good for this or where to find such a laptop would be appreciated.
I guess the requirements of the laptop in order are
1) nearly free - $75 max
2) color
3) cd-rom
4) run at least windows 3.1
I imagine either disassembling the case and folding it back on itself so it would be thick, but not much bigger that the screen, or just breaking the hinges and laying it open flat on the wall
whaddaya think?
