In the tradition of the picture hosting sites and the spawn-forums, I had an idea that I would like to see implemented. Being many of us have personal weblogs, I would like to see an AT community weblog directory. Sort of like weblogs.com but geared towards the AT community.
Basically you would sign up (there should be some way to keep the sign-ups within the community) and when you update your weblog you send an XML-RPC ping to the server (most blogging clients support this). When you update your site goes to the top of the list. We can do other things like searching, indexing, profile, etc but the core functionality is basic.
I don't think any software exists that will do this out of the box, I may be wrong being I only searched for a few minutes. I would be willing to write it but I have other priorities and this may be a distraction.
The #1 question would be, "Is it even worth it?" Would anyone be interested in using it or is it a giant "meh"?
