I was pitched an idea for a golf flash game, and I'm brainstorming some implementation ideas (I have a contractor who wants to work on coding it).
The game is a long drive tournament, where players can choose their heads, shaft stiffness, loft angles, and possibly other parameters like standing distance to the tee and tee height. From these parameters, the game can report things like ball speed, launch angle, etc.
Like a real long drive tournament, the player gets 6 balls and the longest shot that stays inbounds is his score.
But the only dynamic user input I can think of is swing speed (perhaps a power meter where the player hits a key to determine the strength of his swing). The game would be pretty boring and simplistic if that's the main variable (like this game), so I'm trying to think of more ideas. Any thoughts?
