IDE vs. SATA 2 for quite and reliability and performance?

I already bought a Seagate IDE hard drive 200 GB. And will need to more. Should I get more Ide or SATA 2?

They need to be quite, cool, reliable, have lots of storage.


How much improvement is SATA II over IDE?
