Any good IDE drive to SATA adapters??? I have several large capacity 7200 rpm IDE drives I'd like to use on some modern SATA motherboards. Are adapters the answer? if so what do you recommend?

They might want to tidy up their cables though, I'm getting a SATA drive and was thinking of doing the same for my current IDE drive, it's nice to keep it all tidy :)

so get rounded IDE cables. this isnt a complicated problem, and the answer is very simple as well.

They are better than regular IDE, but if you're going to have to pay for new IDE cables, why not just get an adapter seeing as SATA cables are far smaller and thinner etc. It's down to personal prefrence I guess, and for whateve reason this person is after one.

A moderate sized adapter vs a cheap rounded cable = no contest.

I have a nice UV reactive rounded IDE cable for my optical drives. Seems a cheaper/simpler/better performing alternative that an adaptor.

i have 4 of those adapters. they work with the nf4 chips, as well as the ones that use the SI chips built into the mobos.

They do not come with SATA cables though. and you will also need 3.5" floppy power cables\adapters.
