I thought I seen everything.. I guess I can turn all my devices into scsi heheeh.. anyway... I was shopping for scsi burner and the yamaha 2200 uses something like this to make it into scsi. Now, I can't seem to find this around here.. anyone have one of these or tried it ? I like to get a fast ide drive and port it into my scsi controller if possible...

link here

Here it is...

found this for 3.5 drives.. takes a bit of room

EDIT: Actually I found it for 99 bucks now.. like to know if anyone seen it for cheaper..

EDIT2: found for 78 bucks now

Interesting! Might come on handy for someone migrating from IDE to SCSI or to add a Huge amount of storage space (since the IDE drives are much cheaper per Meg than SCSI).

I was using an IDE-->SCSI converter made by Acard to connect my IDE CDRW to my SCSI Macintosh. It worked fine, converted my internal IDE CDRW to external SCSI. Cost $99 from Dirt Cheap Drives including a nice external SCSI drive cabinet and power supply. Lots cheaper than buying a $250 external drive.

Then I came across a real SCSI CDRW so I didn't need the adapter anymore. So I took the adapter out of the external case and slapped it on the back of my IDE Zip drive. Which works perfectly as a SCSI device now, and let me get that slug of a drive off my IDE chain.

<edit> maybe this is a better link
