I've set up a striped array with two Western Digital 120GB IDE drives using a promise onboard raid controller (Gigabyte 8PE667 Ultra2). That's all running fine, however i've now attached two Western Digital 120GB SATA drives from a previous set up (both containing data, using a Silicon Image onboard controller) and they seem to takeover the boot order.
With all drives plugged in (and with the BIOS set to boot from the RAID not the SATA) i get an NTLDR is missing error. If i unplug both SATA drives XP loads fine on the RAID.
I've been through every inch of the BIOS and can't find anything else that could solve the problem.
Anyone know of anything i could try? I've been all through google and the best i can come up with there is SATA RAID problems, which isn't what i have.
Thanks for any help. 🙂
