Hi All,
I got two 200GB in RAID 0 right now with the pATA Silicon Image. I am replacing them with two quieter 200GB in RAID 0 on the same Silicon Image controller. I want identical partition and files from the two present drives.

How can I move the data to the newer 2 drives? Can I just set the new drives as slaves and plug them in to the same cables as the two older drives already present? When I do this, will the two new drives be automatically get the copy files from the existing two older drives? Or do I have to do something special to get them mirrored?
Now if I remove the two older drives from the RAID and set the newer two drives to masters and have them as RAID 0 as before, will this work?

Thanks for any help.

I would plug the new drives into the RAID controller and create a new array. I would then use a drive imaging program like Norton Ghost to clone the first RAID array to the other. You should then be able to remove the old drives and the computer should be able to boot like nothing happened.
