currently i own a maxtor ata100 40gig drive model st040h4....this model is getting a bit harder to find and more expensive than the new maxtor ata133 40gig drives...if i were to purchase the ata133 drive to run RAID 0, will i encounter problems in the long run....i remember reading/hearing that you should have the same hard drive size and speed to run efficiently and with less problems when running RAID 0.....any suggestions/comments?

You may not have problems per se, but you certainly will not be able to reap the benefits of the DMA 133 drive, as RAID will use both only at the slowest setting, DMA 100...

correct

well i'm planning on using an onboard raid controller from my asus a7v133 board....it is raid100....so even if i had both ata133 dirves, wouldn't it still stay at ata100 since that is what the controller can handle..
