I have the KT7-Raid motherboard and am having problems getting my Sony DVD to read game CD's properly. I had a 52x Sony CDROM before that. The problem is that when I stick in a game say Swat 3 when it goes to run the CD it kind of hangs. The CDROM lights up like its working but its not making a noise so I assume its not really doing anything. The game startup screen will hang till it sees that the CD is there which is rare or tells me to insert the right CD. All of these games Autorun features work but when they do their CD check I assume they bomb out. Is anyone else having this problem. The 1.4 Gig Athlon with a MSI K7t-Pro R I build for my friend does the same thing. I have tried the latest 4.32 4in1 drivers and they did no good, moving to XP didn't either. I've tried making the DVD the slave and my Plextor 12x CDRW the master and that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.
