Does anyone know where to download the drivers for the GA-7DX+? I'm going nuts looking for them. They don't appear to be on the gigabyte website.

Latest BIOS: VER. F7 (2003/6/19)

Your GA-7DX+ uses AMD 761 NB and either VIA 686B or VT8231 SB. The IDE function is provided by the VIA chip. Mature driver support for both should be in Windows XP SP1 or SP2, but if you want vendor-provided drivers:

VIA IDE Miniport Driver v3.20b

VIA Hyperion 4-in-1 for obsolete platforms (v4.47)

I've tried the Windows XP SP2 disc and it simply won't detect. It's bizarre since it detected it fine when I installed the system from the SP2 disc.

How can I find out which download I need? I just checked the motherboard and it appears to use the VIA 686B.

First you need the AMD AGP driver: 5.33 for 2000/XP (note: the latest AMD AGP driver should be included with XP SP1 or SP2 or available via Windows Update)

Then download and install the VIA IDE Miniport Driver v3.20b.

Generally the native IDE driver provided by Windows is better than VIA's own IDE driver. The VIA driver is released to address specific compatibility issues, not as a general driver update.

What problem are you having, specifically?
