IDE Controller (PCI) Question

Would I notice speed difference if I split my drives? I have two HD's, DVD Drive(M), and a CD-RW(S). Thanks!

I personally like having my devices on their own channels, especially the ones I may be accessing at the same time. But unless you're accessing both devices on a channel at the same time you probably won't notice any difference.
