IDE Controller Card Question

I have a CDR-RW, a CD-ROM and a hard disk and two IDE channels. Would there be any benefit (especially for on-the-fly CD copying) to buying a PCI IDE controller card so I wouldn't have to share a channel with two devices? If so which devices should be connected to which channels?

I doubt youd see any increase in performance..

Just have the CD drives share and leave the HD on the primary channel as master and the secondary CDROM and CDR
