IDE configurations on 8k7a

Heres what I got:

EPoX 8k7a

Iomega 100 mb zip
Liteon 12x10x32 CD-RW
IBM-40 GB Hard Drive
Creative 12x DVD

and plenty of rounded cables to boot

What is the best IDE setup for this stuff (ie. primary, seconday, master, slave etc...)

Also this isn't really IDE related but whats the deal with the fan headers on this board? Is it ok to put a 47CFM panaflow in them? Do they automatically change rpms depending on temperature? (kinda like powersupplys) Just wondering if I should use these headers or just pop everything right into the good old enermax.
