IDE channel configuration questions

I'm getting a new computer soon and I have some questions about how to configure my IDE channels. Here's what I'm getting:

Epox 8K7A
ATA/100 RAID Controller Card (2 channels)
2x IBM Deskstar 60GXP 40GB
Plextor 16x10x40A
Pioneer 105S

If I understand correctly, RAID 0 requires the hard drives to be on separate channels, right? So they would both be masters on channels 1 and 2 of the RAID controller card. So where would the CDRW and DVD drives go? Would they both be masters on the motherboard's primary and secondary IDE channels? Or could they both go onto the primary channel so I could disable the secondary one and free an IRQ? Does this have any impact on performance? Is anyone still reading my long-winded rambling?

Yeah, you got it right. The two HDD's will go as masters on the 2 RAID channels.

I would put your DVD as master on the primary IDE and the CDRW as master on the secondary IDE. If you're gonna be doing on the fly copying from the DVD to the CDRW, then this set up will be better.
