lately i've been getting a lot of freezing when i watch dvds on my new nec nd-3500a. i used the ide cable that came with my WD hdd for the dvd drive. i'm pretty sure all ide cables have the same specs, but i am not possitive.

cables a cable. go to device manager, (right click my computers and click properties).. check out the properties of your ide controller. make sure the drive is in dma mode.
