Can I use an IDE 33 cable to attach my CD-RW to my motherboard, which have a bus speed of 133 Mhz?

In other words, does my CD really need a 100 or 133 IDE cable?

That cable should work fine. The standard IDE connection runs at 33. It's the memory bus that runs at the highter speeds.
