IDE ATA133 vs IDE ATA100 w/ SATA Adapter?

anyone know which would perform better?

I still need to look into why SATA is better than PATA. I always thought parallel is faster than serial since parallel can send multiple bit streams at the same time (multi-lane highway), while serial has to send it one after another (1 lane road).

ata133 vs ata100 is not really an issue
ive seen benchmarks that reveal zero difference in the two
